Cynthiana drywall is not one material. Near downtown, you may have plaster meeting a later patch. Out toward the bypass, you may have standard rock with a knockdown finish. We cut out the damage, hang a patch in the same plane, tape it, and finish it for paint. Texture matching is honest: orange peel and knockdown we can usually get close. Heavy swirl or raw plaster may not match from a can, and we will say that before we start.
Call when you can point to the hole or the stain. If the stain is still wet, the repair will fail. We look for the source first. A roof leak or a line in the wall is a different trade. Paint is separate unless you put it on the same ticket.
